The TRUE Causes Of Ovarian Cysts

The causes of ovarian cysts need to be properly understood. A failed or disordered ovulation is basically the main reason of the formation of an ovarian cyst. A functional cyst occurs when follicle is unable to release an egg and its growth continues which eventually lead to the formation of a cyst. In other cases a cyst might be formed at the time the follicle does release an egg but the place where it is released is closed. When this happens the corpus luteum does not form and the cyst keeps on growing. Recent research shows that over production of xenoestorgens is one of main causes of the formation of ovarian cysts. In order to properly understand the why ovarian cysts occur, one has to first understand properly the functioning of the endocrine glands. The brain’s lower portion is called the hypothalamus, and pituitary gland lies underneath it. When a woman’s progesterone levels and estrogen go down, this is when hypothalamus begins to send gonadotropin-releasing pulses (GnRH) to the gland. It in its turn sends follicle-stimulating hormones or FSH and it targets the ovary. And because of this, the ovum, which is within the follicles begin to mature. It is the follicles that actually aid in the release of estrogen. It takes about 10 days for the body’s estrogen levels to go up by quite a bit. This is when the hypothalamus enhances the pituitary gland and the GnRH’s production, and thus producing LH or the Luteinizing Hormone. It’s the LH which further aids the process of ovulation and leads to the corpus luteum from the follicle. Corpus luteum again secretes progesterone which is the dominating hormone in the 2nd half in the reproduction cycle. And if there is no pregnancy, the corpus luteum degenerates and both the estrogen and the progesterone level falls. Ovaries actually grow as small cysts every month. In some abnormal cases, the follicle continues to grow and results in cyst. Hence it can be easily understood that the cysts actually kicked off as normal in the start of the period then what exactly led to the follicular dysfunction and did not allow the egg to be released. Experts are of the opinion that it is because of the female embryo getting exposed to environmental pollutants and xenobiotics, which fakes the estrogen’s chemical action on the tissue. During the development of the female embryo, six hundred to eight hundred follicles are made, and every one of them remains within the ovum that is not mature. The xenobiotics though apparently don’t affect the mother, however the baby is much more vulnerable and the ovarian follicles get dysfunctional. They are unable to reach their maturity and the progesterone is not secreted in enough numbers. The damage can never be ascertained till the time the child reaches the age of puberty. The holistic system is the best method of treatment to fight the ovarian cyst causes. In fact it is difficult to pinpoint any one cause for the cyst. Like any other health condition ovarian cysts can be formed from various causes and their interaction. There are some other factors which are not always the causes of ovarian cyst, but can aggravate a cyst that is already there. A combination of external and health conditions can ruin a person’s health and lead to the formation of cysts. The causes of cysts in the ovary are sort of multidimensional; hence the treatment too should be multi dimensional if you want a complete cure. This is why conventional treatments fail so miserably as they are not multidimensional in their approach. They fail to treat the root cause and though temporary relief can be brought yet it is brought at the price of the liver or kidney damage. Conventional medication only treats the effected part without bothering about the over all health. But the problem is, ovarian cysts may not be caused by just any one single reason but various physical, mental and environmental reasons play a part in their formation. In some cases a person might be prone to diseases because of some genetic combination though that does not mean that we might be open to the threat of genes. In fact by adopting a holistic remedy option, we can alter our genetic structure by some extent. Diseases can be prevented from coming back and the lost health and energy can be regained. Holistic approach emphasizes a healthy diet and lifestyle that helps in expelling the build-up of toxic and other elements that lead to the weakening of the immune system. Various factors such as hormonal imbalance, during the monthly cycle, sleeplessness, stress, antibiotics and steroids too may lead to the formation of the cysts. The holistic approach doesn’t include any steroids or antibiotics in its methods thus making it safe and devoid of any side effects.

Some Basics About Ovarian Cysts

An ovarian cyst is a sac that contains either a fluid or a fluid and solid mixture. They can grow either in the interior or on the outside surface of the ovary. While cysts can burst, hemorrhage or induce pain requiring surgery, most are harmless and will normally disappear on their own. There are a large variety of ovarian cyst types and they have a broad range of growth sizes. Most are about the size of a pea but in some rare occasions they may measure over 40 inches in diameter and weigh about 100 pounds. There are a wide range of symptoms for ovarian cysts, from no symptoms to severe pain. Ovarian cysts have a lot of different causes, but most are a product of the ovulation cycle. Usually, ovarian cysts happen during the reproductive years, but can also occur to post menopausal women. Roughly fifteen percent of all cases of ovarian cysts happen to women after their reproductive years. Post menopausal women are also more likely to have malignant cysts. Ovarian cysts are usually of a benign type called functional cysts because they happen as a result of the ovulation cycle. There are other types of benign cysts including endometrial cysts, cystadenoma cysts, and dermoid cysts. Often a person isn’t aware that she has a cyst until it’s discovered during a pelvic exam. Upon discovery of a cyst, a plan of treatment is formulated on the basis of the results of tests. These tests may include ultrasound to determine a cyst’s location, shape and size. Ultrasound testing will also give information on whether the cyst is liquid, a solid, or a combination of liquid and solid. Hormone testing may be done to detect hormone related problems. A blood test may be used to check for cancerous cysts. Your doctors diagnosis is the only way to be certain that you have them. Sometimes women with no apparent symptoms discover to their surprise that they have cysts after their checkup. Others find out that they have a completely different disorder even though they have painful abdominal symptoms. The nature of a cyst as well as its type will decide its proper treatment. A cyst that’s small and painless, probably won’t require treatment. Birth control pills may be prescribed to repress ovarian cysts by stopping ovulation. They can also shrink down the diameter of an existing cyst. The greatest concern of all with ovarian cysts is whether they’re benign or malignant. Even if benign, ovarian cysts may pose serious health risks if they continue to get larger, or rupture, or proliferate extensively. This is why it’s essential that they are monitored by your doctor on a regular basis.

What Are Complex Ovarian Cysts And How Do You Treat Them?

A complex ovarian cyst is a very rare condition but it can cause various complications and problems that are related to the ovary. It is not a very common condition but it can lead to serious complications in females who suffer from this. Many women also tend to suffer from emotional isolation because of this condition. But there are various ways to manage a complex cyst in the ovary, but you need to take various important points into consideration. But since complexities vary from one person to another, one needs to understand the particular case before following the specific guidelines.
What is complex cyst in the ovary?
The complex cyst is made up of solid and liquid components. These cysts can be fatal when they are left untreated. It can lead to really painful situations and an overall discomfort, the situation can aggravate based on how intense the situation is. Generally during a routine medical checkup, the presence of a complex ovarian cyst is determined, or sometimes the more serious ovarian cyst symptoms, namely a severe abdominal pain accompanied with discomfort leads to the discovery of the cyst. The treatment of the cyst depends on its type. There are basically, 3 types of complex cysts in the ovary.
(1) Dermoid cysts: These cysts occur from cells that make the eggs. This sometimes leads to the cyst looking like humans, i. e. with the presence of teeth, hair and even other tissues. Sometimes one might also find cysts that contain sweat glands. The presence of this kind of cyst can also make a woman stress and psychologically upset. This is not a cancerous growth but it can lead to lots of pain, more so when the cyst gets twisted.
(2) Endometrioma: They lead to endometrioma; this is actually a cyst that occurs on the outside of the uterus. It can proceed to various kinds of complications related to the ovaries, and thus it should be taken care of as soon as possible.
(3) Cystadenomas: These are basically made up mucus and liquid. They are usually very big and lead to a lot of pain. They also have a tendency of twisting on themselves and therefore lead to very painful situations and also cause lots of discomfort.
There also various other conditions that might lead to the occurrence of a complex cysts in the ovary. Hence, it is always required to understand the particular case in detail along with the complications involved in order to select the best treatment option.
What causes complex cysts in ovary:
What causes complex ovarian cysts and the less serious and less complex ovarian cysts are the same. It is yet to be determined the reason some females are affected by the complex cases, whereas some only have to suffer from the less serious and less complex cyst form which is also easier to treat. But various reasons like genetic predisposition, neglecting the cyst that is already there, obesity, weak immune system, ignorance, other medical problems in the body and also life style related causes and other health reasons can lead to the occurrence of complex ovarian cyst.
Treating complex cysts in the ovary
There is no standard treatment system for this painful condition. While in some cases surgery is the only solution and yet in some it can be managed by the help of drugs. In spite of these treatments sometimes the complicated cyst continues to exist, and this leads to unmanageable pain and other emotional and psychological problems along with physical discomfort. So, it is required to look beyond and search for a better approach towards the complex ovarian cyst. Conventional medicine also fails to deal with the small variations of the complex cysts. It happens because the conventional medicines only treat the symptoms, and not the real cause. This is why in spite of taking refuge in the most advanced measures; many women continue to face the recurrence of complex cysts in the ovary.
The holistic system is the most effective treatment when dealing with the complex ovarian cyst, because of its multidimensional and versatile approach. The holistic system helps more because instead of only focusing on the disease, it gives importance to the overall condition of the patient. Though in many cases surgery is the only solution but in most of the cases the holistic approach is able to treat the complicated ovarian cyst in a safe, simple and efficient manner.
