I am 16, how do I know if I have Ovarian Cysts?
My period ended and I feel a lump the size of a pea on the left side, it is also hard. I researched and found out about ovarian cysts, how do I know if I have it or not?
I haven’t told my mom yet because I know she’ll freak out. I’m planning on waiting for another week to see if it gets bigger.

go to the doctor that’s the only way you going to know for sure

You have to go to the doctor and they will have a feel and order an ultrasound

If you are not too sure about it, go to the doctor right away. I also suggest you tell your mom immediately so she can help you out. The doctor can give an order for you to take tests or exams in order to know what really is in there. Don’t wait for it to grow. Seek medical help immediately.

I would tell your mom now. Its better if she freaks out than you finding it’s something more serious laster… tell her and have her schedule an appointment at a gyno, and they can help you out.
